PAST PRESENT FUTURE HOME

I started doing videos of various community events about two years ago and after a while I realized that I was building up a snapshot of what the village of Wakefield was like during this time. I began to see the work, at first a series of unconnected films, was actually a potential resource for the village.

In time it will be valuable to see what we were looking and acting like at the end of the first decade of the 21st century.

The Québec legend of la Chasse - Galerie and the story of the flying canoe is based on the ancient European tales of the "Wild Hunt" and informs popular culture (ie: country music's "Ghost Riders in the Sky").

This is the first local legend I heard when I moved to the banks of the Gatineau.

This is a series of photos taken in and around the river set to an instrumental passage from my CD "Thunder Into Heaven".
